I haven’t heard exactly that from what I can remember but I did do some stand up comedy . And yes it is completely terrifying you get up on a stage in front for a bunch of people. I try to block them out at least in the beginning. It helps of you have someone you know in the audience who you can focus on. But after you get th as the first laugh it is the biggest rush and you go with the flow . I cntr speak for all comedians but I think they would probably agree that it is the biggest rush of energy it files you and you want more then anything else to feel it again so you are always trying to get the next laugh. There is one draw back there is no in between if you get laughs it is the best thing ever if you don’t it is the worst thing ever . There is one more thing, I never did political jokes on stage . It is an industry completely (or at least here in nyc it is) controlled by liberals and they can’t laugh at any of the things that they hold sacred. Maybe is should put it another way they can dish it but they can’t take it. Some people are more bold then I am and they go for it anyway. But I stay away from controversial topics . Maybe I am not that bold but I th ok n it’s more maybe that you have to know your audience. I’m not really sure how to end this post , maybe I’ll ju as the say laugh on .
